Cayman First Insurance Leadership Transition

The Board and Management of the Bahamas First Group of Companies wish to announce the retirement of Gordon Philip, Managing Director of Cayman First Insurance, effective December 31, 2019. Gordon has held various leadership roles within the company since its formative years of operation and through its transitions and evolution to its current status as a leading insurance provider in the Cayman Islands.

Going forward, we will continue to realign the Cayman First leadership team and provide the necessary resources to ensure continued support to our employees, operational continuity and service to our customers. For the remainder of the year, Gordon will be supporting the leadership transition and in 2020, he will continue to assist as a director of the company’s board.

The Bahamas First Group has a robust succession planning programme which has been initiated to ensure this transition is as seamless as possible. The process of engaging a qualified successor is underway and we expect to fill this key role in the fourth quarter of this year.
