Currys PC World’s Click and Collect Walk-Through

Currys PC World’s contactless drive-thru collection service is simple, effective and easy to implement with Qudini’s curbside click and collect check-in software. Here’s what it looks like in action!

The prominent electronics retailer, Currys PC World, which is owned by Dixons Carphone, has rolled out a contactless curbside collection service at a number of its stores throughout the UK.

Imogen Wethered, Qudini’s CEO and Co-Founder, visited Currys PC World in Swindon over the weekend and captured the experience in a one minute video:

The collection service allows customers to purchase products and collect online orders from the safety of their cars. The retailer is using Qudini’s click and collect check-in software to enable customers arriving at stores to check-in by phone by accessing a weblink in their order confirmation email or through scanning a QR code at the front of the parking bay.

Currys PC World customers can join a collection queue by scanning a QR code.

Once checked in to a store, they receive their queue position by SMS and a live smartphone countdown view while they wait.

Qudini’s queue management software gives Currys PC World customers real-time notifications and accurate wait times.

A store associate will then locate the customer’s order and drop it into the customer’s car boot, enabling them to drive in and out of the store without getting out of their car.

Why we love Curry PC World’s drive-thru collection experience

1) It’s safe

Customers can arrive at a store, check-in for the collection service and wait in the safety of their cars without having to step foot inside the store or come into contact with staff. They can also have items brought directly to their car boot.

2) It’s efficient

The service comes with accurate wait time calculations and a queue position, so consumers know exactly how long they will be waiting for and can manage their expectations. This approach also means the Currys PC World team can easily manage incoming orders, as they are instantly updated when a customer checks in for a collection.

3) It’s engaging

Instead of having to line up outside a store or search for products inside, customers can seamlessly alert the Currys PC World team of their arrival and wait in their cars for their products.
