Top Solutions at the Smart Retail Tech Exhibition | Qudini

by Sam Osbourne

Stalls, stalls and more stalls. It will be easy to miss the best exhibitors at this year’s Smart Retail Tech show if you don’t know the floorplan like the back of your hand. Luckily, we’re on hand to tell you who’s who and where to find them.

Now more than ever, enterprise retailers need to look for innovative ways to keep their brands relevant. In the wake of the pandemic, customers are tentative to return to the high street and increasingly prefer to shop online. Consequently, substandard websites are costing enterprise retailers business, as consumers flock to their rivals’ state-of-the-art ecommerce platforms.

Whether you’re looking to rethink your in-store customer experience or to modernize your online platform, this handpicked list of game-changing solutions and exhibitors are worth a visit at the Smart Retail Tech exhibition on the 2nd and 3rd of March.

1. ClearPay – Stand: ST1900

ClearPay has a simple yet effective retail tech solution to drive sales. Instead of buying a product in one go, ClearPay lets consumers split the cost across four instalments over six weeks.

More than 6,000 retailers are already using ClearPay’s solution to encourage consumers back onto the high street. The “buy now, pay later” scheme helps retailers to reach customers who aren’t willing to spend large amounts of money in one go. Looking forward, it may soon become the norm.

2. Fygi – Stand: ST1651

The self-service kiosk isn’t a new invention; leading grocery retailers have been using them for a number of years. That said, what makes Fygi so interesting is what they plan to do with their solution—automate the checkout process across retail.

Essentially, Fygi’s goal is to make the in-store experience as efficient as the online experience. After all, if customers experience fewer pain points in store, they’re far more likely to return.

3. Reactive Reality Ag – Stand: ST1652

Reactive Reality is an Austrian software company that’s increasing brand engagement for fashion retailers and reducing product returns. Using their core product, PICTOFiT, consumers can test out different clothing items on a 3D look-a-like avatar with their body measurements.

Augmented reality solutions are quickly gaining popularity as retailers look to technology to revitalize the in-store experience and boost their brand visibility.

4. Qudini – Stand: ST1574

Our flawless retail choreography suite is changing the way customers experience leading brands’ physical stores and online platforms. Each of Qudini’s solutions are geared to create a magical omnichannel retail offering that impresses the customer.

For instance, with our Queue Management software, consumers don’t have to stand in a physical wait line. At the click of a button, they’ll join a virtual one. For the first time, waiting in line isn’t laborious—it’s a sales opportunity. Customers are free to peruse the store and test out products, which increases unplanned purchases, and when it’s their turn for service we send them a notification.

In our recent white paper on the US business case for appointment booking in fashion retail, we estimated that enterprise fashion retailers alone are losing around $45 million in immediate revenue because of consumers who avoid entering or walkout of their stores if there’s a physical queue. By comparison, fashion brands stand to make $301 million or more per year in immediate sales with just one of our retail choreography solutions.
