Happy Holidays from Qudini

by Imogen Wethered

Happy Holidays from Qudini!

During an uncertain year, there are two things we’ve remained certain of throughout:

So we for our festive blog post we thought we would let penguins show you how our Retail Choreography Suite has helped our clients and their customers.

Qudini’s Appointment Booking Software

Qudini’s Appointment Scheduling Software has enabled customers to schedule appointments for in-person and online virtual services with advisors in a store or a contact centre.

This extremely stylish penguin has used our software to book a virtual service appointment with a luxury retailer to look at handbags. This enabled her to fit the appointment into her busy day without having to leave the house. She had never engaged with this brand before, but the virtual appointment made it so easy she simply couldn’t resist. After the appointment, she bought two handbags, a hat, a scarf and the earrings that the advisor was styling. She also booked a follow-up appointment to look at next month’s collection.

Meanwhile, her penguin friends have been booking physical appointments in-store. Some booked a time to shop (or “click to meet”), while others arranged personalized 1-2-1 service. As a result, they’ve visited stores more often, spent more and squawked to their friends about the great customer experience.

Qudini’s Host App and Walk-in Virtual Queue System

Qudini’s Host App and Walk-in Virtual Queue System has enabled our clients to offer a premium experience to customers walking into their stores without an appointment.

In this Antarctica electronics store, a penguin host is greeting every customer and adds them to a digital waitlist. This frees the customers to browse the store until the host directs them to the next available advisor. The penguins can even give their phone number to receive SMS updates. Through this, they’ll be able to watch their position from a weblink as they wait.

The system makes the wait feel shorter by managing their expectations. The waiting penguins don’t need to huddle together for fear of losing their place in the queue, so can spend the time looking at products to buy. Antarctica stores offering this service found that 60% fewer penguins walked out of the store than usual and waiting penguins spent 33% more.

Qudini’s Click and Collect Pickup System

Qudini’s Click and Collect Pickup System has enabled our clients to provide their customers with a faster click & collect pickup from the desk, doorside or curbside.

In the scenes above, the first penguin arrives at the click & collect desk and scans a QR code. A colleague receives an alert, locates the order in the parcel room and brings it to the desk. This process reduces the colleagues to-and-froing between the stockroom (they can also pick up multiple orders at once). It also frees the colleagues to focus on other tasks instead of waiting at the desk. Meanwhile, the penguins who checked in from the store’s designated parking bays and the store entrance have their orders brought out to them in their cars or on foot.

After their order pickups, each customer told their friends about the very cool process that valued their time and safety. All three penguins returned to buy more products from the store again. When given the choice over this store or a store with the “old-style click & collect process”, every penguin said they’d rather visit the store with this system.

Qudini’s Event Booking Software

Qudini’s Event Booking Software has enabled our clients to make their online and in-store events easier for their customers to discover and book.

This penguin customer is logging into a virtual webinar with the Antarctica electronics store. The event he’s attending shows him how to set up his new phone. He had the choice of buying the device from three different retailers, but he chose this one because of the onboarding support they offer. He also recommended his friends choose them as well.

Qudini’s Occupancy Tracking App

Qudini’s Occupancy Tracking App has enabled our clients to automatically track their store occupancy against capacity restrictions. If their store reaches capacity, customers can join a virtual queue and wait remotely or book an appointment for a future date.

This penguin has joined a virtual queue to enter a large fashion retail store. In the meantime, he can check out other quieter stores nearby instead of waiting outside in the cold.
