It’s a real pleasure to reveal that Qudini is now officially an AWS Retail Competency Partner! To earn this status, we needed to provide an innovative technology offering that modernizes retail across enterprise areas including: Customer Engagement; Physical, Digital, and Virtual Store; Corporate Merchandising and Planning; Supply Chain Distribution; Advanced Retail Data Science; and Core Retail Business Applications.
What is AWS Retail Competency?
AWS Retail Competency is an incredibly thorough technical validation process that aims to promote partners who show “technical proficiency and proven retail customer success”, according to AWS.
Essentially, companies that achieve AWS Retail competency status are working to AWS best practice standards to build secure and technically capable cloud infrastructure for retail applications.
Put another way, AWS does all the hard work for leading retailers looking for the best cloud software solutions. After all, Qudini had to undergo rigorous vetting to earn AWS Retail Competency Partner status. You can trust that our Retail Choreography platform is scalable and secure.
How AWS supports Qudini
Qudini leverages a variety of different AWS services to deliver the best Retail Choreography platform to our enterprise retail clients around the world.
Some of the key AWS services that we use include:
- Security Hub
- Guard Duty
- Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)
- Simple Storage Service (S3) & CloudFront
- Web Application Firewall (WAF)
Security Hub
AWS Security Hub is a cloud security and compliance service that automatically runs best practice checks across Qudini’s accounts against the CIS AWS Foundation Benchmark and AWS Foundational Security Best Practices.
We pride ourselves on striving to maintain excellent technical scores against these benchmarks and on always improving our technical capabilities.
Guard Duty
Guard Duty does exactly what it says on the tin. It keeps a close eye on Qudini’s site by constantly monitoring our servers. In turn, this enables us to keep our clients’ data secure.
EKS
We control our container workloads using EKS. The service enables us to rapidly scale up during high traffic periods to support our clients’ needs. Equally, if and when traffic drops again, we can easily scale back to sustainable, cost effective levels.
EKS also ensures Qudini releases software updates faster with shorter release cycles.
S3 & CloudFront
S3 is an object storage cloud service that we use to store content in a secure and scalable manner. We also use content delivery network service CloudFront in tandem with S3 to distribute content and files to our clients much faster than would be otherwise possible.
WAF
For good measure, on top of our other security measures, we’ve put WAFs in front of all of our services for comprehensive protection against web exploits.
We use a combination of AWS best practice security rules and our own rules to ensure our platform is fully secure. We also work closely with a CREST accredited third party on penetration testing to ensure we’re constantly improving our system security.
