Bahamas First General Insurance Company is pleased to announce that Senior Underwriter Carla Rolle-Stubbs has been appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador by the Chartered Insurance Institute (\u201cCII\u201d), the UK-based professional body dedicated to building public trust in the insurance and financial planning profession. CII Goodwill Ambassadors are charged to assist the international CII team in promoting the organization’s qualifications and professional standards. Mrs. Rolle-Stubbs is the first person in the Caribbean region to hold this position.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am delighted to assist the Chartered Insurance Institute as a Goodwill Ambassador in its drive to connect with Caribbean based insurance professionals and advocate for the importance of obtaining globally recognized professional qualifications,\u201d said Mrs. Rolle-Stubbs. \u201cI am passionate about professional development and lifelong learning and so this partnership is an authentic collaboration of efforts to build the credibility and expertise of our industry.\u201d<\/p>\n

A Chartered Insurer and experienced general insurance professional, Mrs. Rolle-Stubbs entered the industry in 2005. She is currently a Senior Underwriter at Bahamas First and holds underwriting, reinsurance, and risk management responsibilities. She is a member of the CII’s Society of Underwriting Professionals and holds an Advanced Diploma in Insurance and an associate degree in Business Management.<\/p>\n

\u201cI cannot think of a more appropriate person for this role than\u00a0Carla, and I couldn\u2019t be more proud of her,\u201d said Bahamas First\u2019s Sr. Vice President of Underwriting V. Keith Rolle. \u201cCarla joined us in 2021 and is regarded by her peers in the Underwriting Department and by our business partners as an invaluable part of our team. Her new responsibility within the CII is an acknowledgment of her ability as a leader and influencer in the profession.<\/p>\n

Welcoming Mrs. Rolle-Stubbs to her role, Isaac Olubitan, CII International Manager for the Americas, Caribbean, and Europe said, \u201cI am delighted that Carla is joining CII\u2019s group of Goodwill Ambassadors as the first for the Caribbean region. This appointment is timely as we are seeing professionals and organizations in the region recognizing the value of obtaining knowledge and technical skill to aid their career progression, ultimately raising professional standards, and delivering the best customer outcomes.
